Who Is The Most Popular Member Of One Direction – April 2013
Back in February, we did a little experiment to find out who is the most popular member of One Direction. And now a month and a half later we’ve decided to do it again to see if anything has changed.
Last time the final scores were: Harry 21, Niall 15, Louis 15, Zayn 15 and Liam 15!
So we’ll go through our usual little ‘tests’ again and see who comes out on top this time!
Who do you think it will be?
Round 1 – Twitter followers
Since last time each member has gained around 1 million followers, which for just over a month is pretty amazing. Harry still comes out on top with 12,031,994 followers with Nialler slowly catching him up on 10,722,199.
Then it is an incredibly close race for third. Louis has 8,860,965 while Liam has 9,829,035. So close Liam you’re almost there for that extra point!
Finally trailing way out the back is poor Zayn, who has over one million less followers than Liam at 8,636,964.
Poor Zayn.
So the scores for round 1 are: Harry 5, Niall 4, Louis 3, Liam 2 and Zayn 1.
Round 2 – Facebook ‘Likes’
As we told you last time, each of the boys have their own facebook pages. And last time this category pulled out some pretty big shocks. So let’s see if its the same this time.
Once again Zayn wins this part of the test. He has 7,512,236 likes on his page, while his nearest rival Harry has over two million likes less at 5,501,130.
Again there is another close fight for third. But this time Liam just edges out Louis, with 3,920,131 likes compared to Louis’s 3,594,966.
This time it’s Niall who’s out the back with over a million fewer likes than Louis at 2,556,357. Go and make us happy guys and go and like Niall’s page we feel very sorry for him!
Round 2 scores: Zayn 5, Harry 4, Liam 3, Louis 2, Niall 1
So the overall scores are: Harry 9, Zayn 6, Liam 5, Louis 5, Niall 5.
All very close at the moment, and still there are three more rounds to go!
Round 3 – Google Trends
This is the round where we get our lovely little graph out again to see how many people have been searching for each of the members.
Last time we compared the results over the past year, but this time we’ve narrowed it down to a month so the results could be rather interesting.
So the blue line at the very top, and way out in front is good old Hazza. Lots of people searching for him maybe due to him splitting up with Taylor Swift, who knows?
Now second place is very close, we have the red line of Niall and the green line for Zayn. Throughout the month they have been incredibly close but it looks as though Zayn just pips Niall into second place.
And again the fight between fourth and fifth is close. Louis’s purple line just beats out Liam’s weird yellowy coloured line.
The round 3 scores are: Harry 5, Zayn 4, Niall 3, Louis 2, Liam 2
Which puts the overall scores at: Harry 14, Zayn 10, Niall 8, Louis 7 and Liam 6
Round 4 – Google Fight
Here we put the boys up against each other to see who has the most articles on Google. It’s not very accurate but we love seeing the two stickmen fight it out.
So the results of this one are. Harry has a massive 37,800,000 articles which is way, way, way ahead of anyone else in the band and in second comes Niall, with 8,750,000.
Then it is incredibly close between the final three boys. Liam comes in third with 8,620,000. Zayn comes in fourth with 8,570,000 and Louis just finishing last with 8,520,000.
This round’s points are: Harry 5, Niall 4, Liam 3, Zayn 2 and Louis 1.
Leaving the scores at: Harry 19, Niall 12, Zayn 12, Liam 9 and Louis 8, going into the final round.
Round 5 – Forums
So the final round we take into account the posts on our amazing forum – if you’re not signed up yet please do.
Anyway, on our amazing forum, we have different boards for each member of the band. We’ve taken into account how many topics and replies each member has.
So Harry is once again well out in front with 204 topics with 1038 posts in them. While Niall comes in second with 146 topics and 844 posts.
Louis scrapes third place with 130 topics with 669 replies and Zayn comes in fourth with 588 replies in 123 topics.
Liam comes in last with 436 replies in only 88 topics. Poor Liam.
The scores for this round are: Harry 5, Niall 4, Louis 3, Zayn 2 and Liam 1.
The final scores are: Harry 24, Niall 16, Zayn 14, Louis 11 and Liam 10.
SO HARRY WINS!! – AGAIN!!!
